The Jain temples at Halebidu are much quieter than Hoysaleswara, but they add an important religious and artistic layer to the old Hoysala capital. The complex includes basadis dedicated to Jain tirthankaras, with polished pillars and restrained interiors that feel different from the sculptural overload nearby.
Visit them if you have time after Hoysaleswara. They are especially rewarding for travellers interested in how Jain, Shaiva, and Vaishnava traditions shared the same regional artistic world.
