Chaubara is the old watchtower at the heart of Bidar's historic town. It is not a major monument by itself, but it is a useful orientation point: lanes, markets and several smaller Islamic-era buildings cluster around it, and the Mahmud Gawan Madrasa is close by.
Come here while moving between the fort and the madrasa rather than making a separate trip. The surrounding streets are often more interesting than the tower itself, with everyday Bidar life pressing up against fragments of the old capital.
