Bidar has a railway station on regional routes, but most travellers arrive by road from Hyderabad, Gulbarga/Kalaburagi, or Basavakalyan. Buses are frequent enough, though not especially comfortable; hiring a car from Hyderabad makes sense if you want to combine Bidar with nearby Deccan Sultanate sites in a single trip.
