Koshak Mahal is a four-storey palace ruin built in the 15th century under the Sultanate of Malwa. It stands outside the main town, open to the sky, with heavy arches and a clean, geometric plan that still reads clearly despite the ruin.
It is one of Chanderi's most photogenic sites. Go early or late if you can, when the stone takes softer light and the proportions of the building are easier to appreciate.
