Akshi is 5 km south of Alibaug and the quietest of the easily accessible beaches. The sand is a clean white, the slope is gentle, and the scrub forest behind it is almost untouched. Local fishermen pull in their boats here in the early morning.
There is little to do beyond walk and swim, which is the point. Bring food — the only refreshments are a couple of tea stalls.
