Alibaug's draws are the beaches and the offshore Kolaba Fort, with a handful of nearby villages, temples and smaller forts filling out a long weekend. Pace is slow — most visitors come from Mumbai for a couple of nights and divide their time between the sand, a seafood meal, and one or two short excursions. Those with an extra day should head further south to Murud-Janjira, the standout fort of the whole coast, and the more modest ruins of Revdanda Fort along the way.
