Anjarle Beach

Anjarle is a long, uncrowded beach on the north side of Dapoli, accessible via a road through the Konkan countryside. The beach is less developed than many comparable spots on the Maharashtra coast — there are a handful of homestays and guesthouses in the village behind the beach, but very little else in the way of tourist infrastructure.

The Kadyavarcha Ganpati temple, perched on a headland at one end of the beach, is worth visiting: the view from the temple platform over the sea and the curved shoreline is excellent. The beach is good for walking at low tide when the sand is firm and extensive.

Anjarle is popular during Ganesh Chaturthi, when the village temple celebrations attract visitors from across the region. At other times it remains genuinely quiet.
