Karde Beach

Karde is a beautiful crescent-shaped beach about 6 km south of Dapoli, sheltered by headlands on both sides and backed by coconut palms. It is less visited than Murud and tends to be calmer — the bay shape moderates the swell and makes it one of the better swimming beaches in the area during the season (October to May).

A small village sits at the southern end of the beach with basic food stalls. The beach is clean and the water relatively clear for this stretch of coast. Dolphin sightings are sometimes reported in the bay in the early morning.

Karde is accessible by road from Dapoli; the turn-off from the main road leads down through farmland to the coast. Basic camping facilities are sometimes available near the beach in the peak season.
