Rupnarayan Temple

A small Vishnu temple on the edge of the village, the Rupnarayan is older and quieter than the Suvarna Ganesh. The black stone idol of Vishnu inside is the draw for the few pilgrims who come; for everyone else it is a five-minute stop on the way to or from the beach. The grounds are shaded and clean, and the priests are friendly if you have the patience to listen to the temple history.

Mornings and evenings are the best time to visit, when the lamps are lit and the courtyard is cool. The temple is signposted from the main village road.
