Kune Falls

Seasonal waterfall in the Lonavala-Khandala hills, strongest during the monsoon.

Kune Falls drops through the green slopes between Lonavala and Khandala, and it is at its best when the monsoon has filled the Western Ghats with water. In the right season it is one of the areas most satisfying natural sights, more vertical and dramatic than many roadside viewpoints.

Access and close-up viewing can vary, so check local conditions before setting out. Even from a distance, the falls make a good stop on a circuit with Tiger Point, Bhushi Dam, and the hill roads around Khandala.
