Muttom Beach is a rugged stretch of coast north-west of Kanyakumari, where dark rocks break the surf and give the shore a wilder feel than the town beaches. It is a good detour if you want a quieter sea view, but the waves and rocks make it more a place for walking and photographs than casual swimming.
