Goripalayam Dargah

Goripalayam Dargah is a green-domed shrine on the north bank of the Vaigai River, associated with the 13th-century Muslim rulers and saints Sulthan Alauddin Badusha and Sulthan Shamsuddin Badhusha. Its large stone dome and old Tamil inscription make it one of Madurai's more important Islamic heritage sites.

It is a useful stop for visitors who want to see Madurai beyond the temple core. Dress modestly and be respectful of worshippers, especially around prayer times and festival days.
