Srinagar Garhwal is on the main road and bus route between Rishikesh and Badrinath (NH 58), making it easy to reach but rarely a deliberate destination. Buses from Rishikesh (ISBT) take around 3–4 hours; from Haridwar, allow 4–5 hours. Buses run frequently during the Char Dham pilgrimage season (May to October) and less so in winter.
The nearest major railhead is Haridwar (145 km south), which is well connected to Delhi and other North Indian cities. Rishikesh has a smaller station with limited services. From either railhead, shared taxis and buses run up the valley to Srinagar.
Jolly Grant Airport near Dehradun (160 km southwest) has flights from Delhi with IndiGo and Air India. Hiring a car from Dehradun takes around 4 hours via the mountains.
