Vrindavan is about 12 km from Mathura, the nearest major railhead, and around 50 km north of Agra. Rickshaws, taxis, and local buses connect Mathura and Vrindavan through the day.
From Delhi, the usual route is by train to Mathura Junction and onward by road. Travellers coming from Agra can make Vrindavan and Mathura a long day trip, though staying overnight makes the early and evening temple hours much easier.
