Biharinath Temple is a Shiva shrine at the foot of Biharinath Hill, drawing pilgrims from western Bengal and beyond. The temple is simple, but the setting gives it weight: it sits close to one of the highest points in the region, with a steady flow of worshippers through much of the year.
It works best as part of a short trip out of Asansol, especially if you are also heading toward the hill country around Burnpur and Panchet.
