Asansol is not a tourist city, but if you find yourself here on a train layover or a business trip there are a handful of genuine sights — a Kali shrine in a riverside ravine, the IISCO steel works at Burnpur, and the riverside park there — plus the lakes and dams of the Damodar valley within an hour's drive.
