Mahishadal Rajbari is a former zamindar palace complex near Gadiara, with an older palace from the 19th century and the later Phulbagh Palace. Inside are grand corridors, furniture, paintings, hunting trophies, and weapons that give a glimpse of landed life in rural Bengal.
The complex also includes two Hindu temples, including the 18th-century Gopaljiu Temple. It works best as a stop on a wider trip around Gadiara and the Hooghly-Rupnarayan river country.
