Bukit Cinta, often called Love Hill or Amelia Sea View, is the open hill viewpoint north of town. The landscape here is classic western Flores: dry grass, rounded hills, blue water, and islands scattered across the horizon.
It is especially good at sunrise or late afternoon, when the heat eases and the hills turn gold. There is little shade, so bring water and avoid the middle of the day. The road is short from town, but a scooter or driver is much easier than walking.
