The harbour strip is walkable, but the town climbs steeply and sidewalks are inconsistent. Ride-hailing apps, local taxis, and hotel transfers are the easiest way to move with luggage or dive gear.
For Batu Cermin, Bukit Cinta, and the airport, a scooter is practical if you are comfortable with traffic and hills. Rangko Cave and Cunca Wulang are better done with a driver or organised trip, since the access roads and local boat arrangements are awkward without help.
