Puncak Waringin is the most convenient sunset viewpoint in central Labuan Bajo, set above the harbour with a broad view over the bay and islands. It is close enough to reach without planning and high enough to make the town's messy waterfront look briefly graceful.
Come late in the afternoon and expect company. The viewpoint area has been improved as part of Labuan Bajo's tourism push, but the main attraction remains the old one: boats in the harbour, islands layered into the distance, and the sun dropping behind Komodo's direction.
