Tanjung Layar

Tanjung Layar is Sawarna's postcard view: two tall rock blades set just offshore, battered by Indian Ocean swell. The name means "sail cape", and the shape is obvious once you see it from the sand.

It is best at low tide or around sunset, when the reef platform is exposed and the waves throw spray around the rocks. The surf can be rough, so treat this as a place for walking, photos, and wave-watching rather than casual swimming.
