Dirgantara Mandala Museum is the Indonesian Air Force museum near Yogyakarta, close to Adisutjipto airfield. Its collection includes military aircraft, uniforms, photographs, and displays on the development of Indonesian aviation.
The museum is most rewarding if you have an interest in aircraft or modern Indonesian history. Interpretation can be uneven, but the physical collection gives it substance, and it makes a useful indoor stop when combining Sleman with the eastern side of Yogyakarta.
