Fatmawati House commemorates Sukarno's wife, who was born in Bengkulu and is remembered for sewing the first Indonesian flag raised at independence in 1945. The house is built in local vernacular style, a useful contrast to the British and Dutch traces elsewhere in the city.
It is a small museum, best seen together with Bung Karno Seclusion House nearby.
