Sebuton Mekar Jaya Mangrove Park is a more local, slower stop than Natuna's beaches. A wooden track runs through the mangroves, and boat trips on the stream can be arranged when operators are around.
The park is also a place to look for the Natuna Island surili, the kekah monkey, and to try mangrove crab or freshwater clam if the small restaurant is operating. Call ahead if food or a guided visit matters.
