Haifa is on the Israeli rail spine and the train is the easiest way in. From Tel Aviv the journey is about an hour to Haifa Center–HaShmona, a fast and frequent service. From Ben Gurion airport, change at Tel Aviv or take a direct service; door to door is roughly two hours.
By road, the coastal highway from Tel Aviv takes about ninety minutes outside rush hour. Long-distance buses connect Haifa to Jerusalem, Tiberias, and the smaller towns of the Galilee.
The port runs occasional cruise calls and a small number of regular ferries to Cyprus in summer, but Haifa is not a useful entry point by sea for most travellers.
