Metula's appeal is mostly about its setting rather than specific attractions. The Canada Centre is the famous incongruity — an ice rink and sports complex in the heat of northern Israel — while the Iyyon Nature Reserve provides good walking. The Fatima Gate, the old border crossing into Lebanon, is visible from the edge of town and an interesting piece of recent history.
The Tel Hai site, about 8 km south, is the most historically significant stop in the area — a reconstructed settlement and memorial to one of the defining early moments of Zionist settlement.
