Nagoya sits on the Tokaido Shinkansen line, with bullet trains running every ten minutes or so. From Tokyo it's about 1 hour 40 minutes by Nozomi; from Kyoto, 35 minutes; from Shin-Osaka, 50 minutes. All shinkansen stop at Nagoya Station, which is also the city's main hub for limited express trains to Takayama (Wide View Hida), Ise (Kintetsu) and Kii Peninsula towns.
Centrair (Chubu Centrair International Airport) handles international and domestic flights and is connected to Nagoya Station by the Meitetsu Mu Sky limited express in 28 minutes. For drivers, the Tomei and Meishin expressways meet at Nagoya, putting the city within easy reach of Toyota, Inuyama, Gifu and the Kiso valley.
