Jazz Inn Lovely has been programming live acoustic jazz from a basement in Nishiki since 1971, making it one of the longest-running independent jazz clubs in Japan. The room is small (about 80 seats), the piano is a well-loved Bosendorfer, and most nights see two sets by a Japanese trio or visiting international guest, with cover charges around 3,000–4,000 yen.
The room policy is strict on silence during performances and the audience tends to listen intently — this is not a chatty cocktail bar. The menu runs to spirits and wine; light food is available before showtime. Reservations strongly recommended at weekends. Fushimi Station, five minutes' walk.
