Trunk Coffee

Trunk is the leader of Nagoya's third-wave coffee scene — a small Scandinavian-style roastery and cafe in Shikemichi, founded by World Latte Art champion Yoshikazu Iwase in 2014. Light-roast single-origin beans, ceramics by local Tokoname potters, a Mazzer grinder and the kind of careful pour-over that takes three minutes per cup. The shop also serves cinnamon rolls and danish pastries baked daily.

The Shikemichi flagship is the most photogenic; smaller satellite branches sit inside Nagoya Station (Trunk Coffee Stand) and elsewhere. Closed on Wednesdays.
