Mount Nagi is the mountain that gives the town its name and its backdrop. It rises to 1,255 metres on the Tottori border and is part of the Hyōnosen-Ushiroyama-Nagisan Quasi-National Park.
Hikers come for changing seasonal colour, snow views in winter, and a feeling of open country above the farms. Check local conditions before setting out; this is a real mountain, not a town park.
