Nagi MOCA

Site-specific contemporary art museum designed around permanent architectural installations

Nagi MOCA is the reason to come to Nagi. Designed from a base proposal by Arata Isozaki, the museum is built around three integrated works, usually described as Sun, Moon, and Earth, where the building and the art cannot be separated.

It is small, but it is not minor. The rooms use slope, light, axis, and borrowed views of Mount Nagi to make the visit feel closer to walking through an installation than touring a standard gallery.
