Joto Street is the best walk in Tsuyama after the castle. The old road east of the castle preserves townhouses, lattice fronts, white plaster, and small museums along the former Izumo Kaido.
It is not a theme park street; cars and ordinary life still pass through. That makes it more rewarding if you slow down, step into the old town house or Western-learning museum, and treat the district as a lived-in castle-town remnant.
