Himeji Central Park combines a drive-through safari park, walking zoo areas, and amusement-park rides on the outskirts of Himeji. It is a very different day out from the castle-and-garden core of the city.
The park is mainly worth considering for families or travellers with extra time after seeing Himeji Castle and Koko-en. Check transport and seasonal ride schedules before committing, because it is not a quick central stop.
