Ashikaga Flower Park

Famous flower park best known for vast wisteria trellises in late spring.

Ashikaga Flower Park is the crowd-puller, especially when the wisteria is in bloom from late April into May. The great trellises of purple, white, and pink flowers are theatrical in the best way, and the evening illuminations make them even less subtle.

Outside wisteria season the park still plants for colour, but it is no longer essential. If you are visiting in peak bloom, book transport with patience and expect company.
