Chiba Shrine is the city's main historic shrine, associated with Myoken worship and the medieval Chiba clan. Its current red buildings are modern, but the site has deep local roots and remains active, especially during the Myoken Taisai festival in August.
It is a short walk from central Chiba and pairs well with the castle museum in Inohana Park.
