Kyu-Furukawa Teien combines a Western-style mansion by Josiah Conder with a formal rose garden and a Japanese garden. The roses bloom most notably in late spring and autumn, but the contrast between the stone house, terraces, pond, and landscaped paths makes it worth visiting beyond the peak flower seasons.
