Innai Ginzan Ijinkan tells the story of the Innai Silver Mines, once among Japan's most productive silver mines. The displays use videos, photographs, tools, and mining artifacts to explain how the mines worked and what life was like for the miners.
The building itself is part of the appeal: a German-style brick structure beside Innai Station. There is also a small collection of ancient pottery found in the area, making it a useful stop if you are exploring the quieter southern side of Yuzawa.
