The Biological Center is a small zoo on the island in Semipalatinsk. It is a simple family stop rather than a major wildlife park, but it works well if you are already walking this side of the Irtysh.
Look for the nearby Stronger Than Death monument, a memorial to victims of nuclear testing in the Semipalatinsk region.
