Norus is about 35 kilometres from Bishkek, roughly 45 minutes to an hour by road depending on traffic and conditions. There is no public bus service that goes directly to the resort.
By taxi: The easiest option. Negotiate a fare from Bishkek before departure — expect to pay 2,000–3,000 KGS each way. In winter, confirm that the driver has snow chains; the road into the valley can be icy after fresh snowfall.
By shared taxi or marshrutka: Shared taxis run from the East Bus Terminal in Bishkek towards Kant and Tokmok; ask to be dropped at the Norus turnoff, then walk or hitch the last few kilometres up the valley road. This is feasible in summer but inconvenient in ski gear in winter.
By car: From Bishkek, take the A365 east towards Kant, then follow the valley road south into the Ysyk-Ata valley. The road is paved but narrow; a standard car is fine in summer and in good conditions, but four-wheel drive and snow chains are strongly recommended in winter.
