Joma is a small Canadian-run chain with several branches around Vientiane (the original is on Setthathirath Road). The food is what you would expect: muffins, bagels, sandwiches, salads, soup of the day. Strong coffee, fast wifi, air-conditioning. It is not the most authentic stop on a Lao itinerary, but it is the easiest place in town to get reliable breakfast or do a few hours of work.
A portion of profits goes to local development projects. The Setthathirath branch usually has a terrace table available; the Phonthan branch near Patuxai is quieter and more spacious.
