Le Trio Coffee

Specialty coffee with single-origin Lao beans, popular with locals

Le Trio is one of a handful of Lao specialty coffee shops that have appeared since the mid-2010s. Beans are sourced from the Bolaven Plateau, roasted in Vientiane, and brewed with proper care — espresso, pour-over, or cold brew. The space is small, clean, and pleasantly air-conditioned, with a small selection of pastries.

It is a useful midday refuge during the hot months. Prices match Bangkok rather than the local going rate, but you are paying for craft. The same group runs the wholesale roastery that supplies many of the better cafes in the city.
