Onno is one of the great Armenian restaurants of Bourj Hammoud, the dense Armenian district just east of central Beirut. The menu runs through the classics — manti, kebabs, sou borek, basterma, mante in yoghurt — served in big plates at long shared tables.
The atmosphere is cheerful and loud and the bill is small. It is the right place for a slightly out-of-centre evening if you want food you cannot get anywhere else in the city. Cabs from downtown take about ten minutes.
