Zaitunay Bay

Zaitunay Bay is a marina-front promenade just east of downtown, lined with seafood restaurants, cafes and the gleaming yachts of Beirut's wealthier residents. Built on reclaimed land in the early 2010s, it is glossy, manicured, and a world away from the rougher Corniche to the west.

It works best at sunset, when the boardwalk fills with families and the restaurant terraces catch the last light over the Mediterranean. Food prices are tourist-tier; for a coffee or a beer the setting is genuinely lovely.
