The Melaka Sultanate Palace Museum is a timber reconstruction of the palace of Sultan Mansur Shah, set below St Paul's Hill. It gives a useful visual sense of Melaka before the Portuguese, Dutch, and British layers took over the cityscape.
Inside, the displays cover court life, costumes, weapons, and local legends. The building itself is the main draw: raised on posts, carved, and built without the stone-and-plaster look that dominates the colonial core.
