Buraimi's restaurant scene is functional rather than memorable. Most places along the main road do reliable Pakistani, Indian, or Lebanese food at low prices — biryani, kebabs, fresh-baked bread, hummus, and the standard regional sweets. The hotels have their own restaurants; the City Seasons and the Buraimi Hotel are dependable for sit-down meals.
For a wider range and better-known places, cross the border to Al Ain, which has dozens of restaurants from cheap Indian to upscale international. Al Jahili Fort is near a cluster of mid-range options. Many travellers staying cheaply on the Omani side eat dinner in Al Ain and walk back.
