A compact whitewashed fort perched at the tip of the Al-Ayjah peninsula, guarding the entrance to Sur's lagoon. It faces the larger Sur Fort on the opposite shore — the two were built to work in concert, controlling the channel between them. The views over the lagoon and out to the open sea are excellent, particularly at low light.
