The city's main public auditorium, set in a park near the centre. It hosts local political meetings, school prize-givings, and occasional cultural performances. The building itself is unremarkable but the surrounding park — Jalal Baba Park — is a pleasant green space with mature trees and benches, busy in the cool of the late afternoon when locals gather to walk.
A reasonable stop on a downtown walking circuit. Check at the auditorium for any current programme of events if you are in town for a few days.
