Rawalakot is about 80 kilometres from Rawalpindi, reached by a winding mountain road through the Azad Kashmir hills. The journey takes 2.5 to 3 hours by private car or shared transport, depending on road conditions. Public minibuses and wagons run regularly from Rawalpindi's Pir Wadhai bus terminal to Rawalakot. Rawalakot Airport exists but has been non-operational; check current status before planning an air connection. From Rawalakot, Toli Pir is a further 30 kilometres by road — hire a local car or take a shared jeep from the bazaar.
