Auto-rickshaws and motorcycle-rickshaws (qingqis) are the main way to get around Faisalabad. They are cheap and plentiful; agree on a fare before setting off. Ride-hailing apps (Uber, Careem) operate in the city and are a more predictable option. Taxis are available but less common.
The bazaar district around the clock tower is best navigated on foot — the narrow lanes around Ghanta Ghar are not designed for vehicles and walking gives you a chance to actually look around. The outer attractions (Gatwala Park, the hockey stadium) are more efficiently reached by rickshaw or app.
Faisalabad has an extensive bus network for the locals, but it is complex to navigate without knowledge of the routes and Urdu. For visitors, rickshaws are simpler.
