Cadet College Ghotki is one of the chain of military-style boarding schools that prepare boys for the Pakistan armed forces. Founded in 2002 on a large campus a few kilometres south of Khanpur Mahar, it is one of the more visible institutions in this rural part of Sindh and a major local employer.
The campus itself is not normally open to visitors, but the entrance gate and surrounding grounds are a recognised landmark on the road south toward Ghotki town.
